Camping Jure is located just outside of Makarska, about 60 kilometres southeast of Split. Makarska itself is known for its beautiful pebble beaches located at the foot of the 1,761 metre high mountain of the Biokovo Nature Park.
The campsite has 50 pitches to rent, all located in shade under mature pine trees as well as a number of caravans and bungalows for hire. A beach is situated just 100 metres from camp Jure on which many entertainment events and programmes are organised during the summer period. Children can make use of a playground located close to the beach. Several beach bars can also be found along the coastal footpath that leads to the centre of Makarska.
Within the campsite's grounds are located a bar and a restaurant serving both breakfast and dinner, while fresh groceries can be purchased from a grocery store five minute's walk from the camp.
Guests can use a nearby tennis court (payment is required), or choose to enjoy wind surfing and kite surfing. Because of the camps proximity to Biokovo mountain, winds around the campsite are also excellent for paragliding and kiting. For excursions further afield, camp Jure is an excellent staring point for numerous boat excursions to the nearby islands of Brač, Hvar and Korčula, as well for trips to the Cetina river estuary in the town of Omiš and to the town of Split.
