Completely renovated and re-opened in 2006, camp Vira is a four star campsite located 4 kilometres north west of the town of Hvar. Over the years it has been awarded a number of quality awards including an ADAC Yellow Board award.
Accommodating 500 guests, the camp’s beach is partially rocky and partially pebbly with flat area for sunbathing. The beach is acknowledged to be the most beautiful beach on the whole of the island of Hvar. In keeping with the camp’s environmentally friendly policies, sanitary facilities use solar energy.
Facilities at the camp include beach volleyball, mini golf, billiards, pedal boats, kayaks, entertainment programmes for both children and adults, as well as diving and sailing courses. About 600 metres from camp Vira is a sports centre providing basketball, tennis courts and other sporting pastimes that can be used by the camp’s guests.
On-site, the camp offers a large catering facility including a beach bar serving various snacks such as pizza, hot dogs, toasted sandwiches and salads.
A number of excursion programmes are organised to the surrounding area and a bus service to Hvar is available.
