ADAC and ANWB camping guides 2012 – the overall quality of Croatian campsites rose 5%

The German Automobile Association (ADAC) presented the new camping guide for 2012

The representatives of the Croatian Camping Union, Croatian Tourist Board and owners and managers of various Croatian campsites attended the traditional ADAC Gala night which took place on the 13th January, a day before the official opening of the camping fair CMT in Stuttgart.

The same night ADAC revealed the ADAC Campingfuehrer, the European camping guide for the year 2012. It represents almost a „Bible“ for all German speaking campers. The guide is very important for Croatian campsites, since the German emissive market generates more than 33% of all overnights in campsites. The ADAC's evaluation method is also a clear indicator of the perception that the German speaking countries have about our camping offer.

Special quality awards in the ADAC camping guide 2012

The ADAC „Red table“ (Superplatz) is assigned to campsites which achieved extraordinary results during the ADAC inspections in 2012. The mark Superplatz is the most prestigious award that a campsite may achieve.

Two Croatian campsites reconfirmed the „Superplatz“ status for the year 2012:

  • Campsite Zaton (Nin, Zadar)
  • Campsite Lanterna (Tar, Poreč)

There are 77 campsites in Europe that can be proud of this special quality award and 6 of them are newcomers for the year 2012.

The ADAC “yellow table” is assigned to campsites which achieved very good evaluation results during the inspector’s last visit, especially in the sections of sanitary facilities and camping plots, two fields which are the base for high quality standards. To achieve this award, campsites should achieve 5 or 4 stars in the section of sanitary facilities and at least 3 stars in the section of camping pitches.

In 2012, the “yellow table” has been assigned to totally 11 Croatian campsites. Two new campsites joined this group for the first time.

  • Dalmatia: campsite Vira (Hvar) and campsite Nevio (Orebić)
  • Kvarner: campsite Poljana (Mali Lošinj), campsite Slatina (Cres) and for the first time this year, campsite Bunculuka (Krk)
  • Istria: campsite Bijela Uvala and campsite Solaris (Poreč); campsite Kanegra, campsite Stella Maris and campsite Finida (Umag), and for the first time this year, campsite Zelena Laguna (Poreč).

The average vote of Croatian campsites rose 5%
