Traffic disruptions in Slovenia on Saturday, 30th July 2016
Vladimir Putin’s visit to Slovenia to cause considerable traffic problems: the Karavanke Tunnel and the Ljubljana - Jesenice highway will be closed on July 30th, between 9-18 h.
If you are planning you trip to or from Croatia on 30th July 2016, we strongly recommend to avoid the Karavanke Tunnel and the motorway towards Ljubljana. You could avoid traffic disruption only by arriving at the Karavanke Tunnel already around 6 a.m., but if you prefer not driving at night, you should definitely consider alternative routes through Italy (Tarvisio – Trieste), or via Graz towards Maribor and Zagreb.
