The final conference of the CAMPMASTER project took place on September 29th, 2022 in Figueres, Spain.
During the fourth edition of the Girona camping congress, Girocamping PRO2022, the final presentation of the Campmaster project, the first European graduate study in the field of sustainable campground management, was held.
Project manager Assoc. Ph.D. Josipa Cvelić Bonifačić, together with representatives of project partners Jos van der Sterren (Breda, Netherlands) and Lluis Coromin (Girona, Spain), held a presentation on the implementation of the CAMPMASTER project, accomplished activities and the new international graduate study "Master of Sustainable Outdoor Hospitality Management (MASOHM)".
Since the presentation was held as part of the camping congress Girocamping PRO, the presentation was attended by numerous representatives of the camping industry, students, representatives of public organizations and local and regional authorities. Europe’s first Master degree on hospitality and camping resort management has already come to life - Breda University of applied sciences (BUAS) has opened the application for this unique program that includes lectures in three countries, the Netherlands, Croatia and Spain. Students will spend one semester in each of these top camping destinations, while the fourth, last semester, is reserved for traineeship in the best European campsites and a thesis in a key outdoor hospitality region in Europe of students' choice. The defined learning outcomes and the future graduate study of sustainable camping management should contribute to increasing the quality and overall sustainable development of outdoor tourism, not only in Croatia but also in Europe.
