Amarin Campsite lies along the natural beach, shaded by pine trees, and offers a beautiful view of Rovinj, one of the most charming towns on the western coast of Istria, which is four kilometres away. The campsite provides a variety of water and land-based activities, entertainment options for kids and teenagers, and a diverse selection of food, ensuring a fun-filled family holiday. It is part of the apartment resort with the same name and lies next to one of the best family hotels in Croatia, the Family Hotel Amarin.

Accommodation options

The campsite’ has spacious pitches ranging from 80 m2 to 150 m2. They all have electricity hook-ups, and most have water and sewer connections as well. The nine-hectare surface area by the sea is covered in Mediterranean greenery, providing natural shade. The pitches are divided into five types, from standard to Superior, with the latter being located in the immediate vicinity of the sea.

Additionally, there are five types of mobile homes available, ranging from standard to Superior Relax, which are intended for large families. They all have a roofed terrace, two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Some also boast a lounge set on the terrace, hammocks, and a multi-game table.

The campsite offers 20 glamping tents with a spacious 15 m2 terrace, perfect for the guests longing for a touch of luxury.

Of other amenities, there are shared pools and barbecue areas, family-friendly sanitary facilities, bathrooms suitable for children and persons with disabilities, and even dog showers. An e-vehicle charging station is available for an extra charge.

Beaches and pools

The campsite stretches along a pebble, rocky, and concrete beach, as well as stone plateaus that are ideal for sunbathing. Besides the Blue Flag, the beaches take pride in natural shade, and offer sun loungers and umbrellas for rent. Showers are available, and there are also a boat dock and a dog beach.

Guests can enjoy three seawater pools, one of which is reserved for children. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for rent, allowing you to enjoy the spectacular view of Rovinj and the nearby islets.

Restaurants, bars and shops

The campsite has three themed restaurants that serve Mediterranean dishes, pizzas, and pastas. You can also enjoy a buffet breakfast while admiring the seascapes. If you need a break from sunbathing or swimming, pop by one of the two bars for a refreshment, or visit the pastry shop with a great selection of ice creams, cakes, and hot and cold coffees.

Other amenities include a bakery, a fruit and vegetable stand, and a newsstand. The nearest supermarket is located 1.5 km away from the campsite.

Sports and entertainment

The campsite offers a range of amenities including volleyball, tennis, handball, basketball, mini golf, football, table tennis, and bocce. The well-fitted playgrounds and a skate park are available for children free of charge, while the trampoline and inflatable waterpark are charged extra. Rental options include bikes, kayaks, pedal boats, and SUP boards, along with sailing and windsurfing classes.

Children can enjoy the daily and evening entertainment programme at the mini and teen clubs, while adults can participate in hobby workshops, karaoke evenings, and sports tournaments.

What to do and see around Rovinj?

Rovinj has a romantic ambiance, largely due to the artistic vibe of Grisia Street and the Church of St Euphemia that dominates the town. It is a magnet for travellers from all over the globe. Besides several museums, a miniature park, the Fantazija quarry, and the Aquarium, Rovinj hosts numerous music and gourmet events, including world-famous dance and culture festivals.

The campsite surroundings offer endless excursion options. These include the Brijuni National Park, emerald Lim Bay, bird reserve Palud, Pula with its spectacular amphitheatre and other numerous monuments from the Roman era, and the mystical Dvigrad. Popular excursion destinations include the islets of St Katherine and St Andrew (the Red Island) with their beautiful beaches, which are easily reachable by boats regularly departing from the Port of Rovinj.

Wine cellars, konobas and restaurants tucked away in the alleys of Rovinj’s old town are also worth a visit, as they offer authentic Mediterranean delicacies and famous Istrian wines.
