Accommodation options

Kovačine Campsite has more than 950 pitches and camping grounds, 700 of which are situated in the non-naturist area, while the rest are in the clothes-free area. The pitches range from 60 m2 to 120 m2 and are equipped with a shared electricity point and two taps per water point. They are located in the shade of pine and olive trees in an area covering 27 hectares.

There are also 250 mobile homes set in a peaceful pine forest by the sea. Twin 12 m2 mobile homes for two people and Super Comfort 32 m2 mobile homes for four to six people have everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a garden table and chairs.

The campsite also has 13 rooms in the Tamaris house, each with a bathroom and a toilet.

There are eight sanitary facilities, most of which have been renovated and fitted with solar panels to provide almost entirely sustainable electricity.

Beaches, pools and massages

Along the campsite’s coastline stretches one of the nicest pebble and stone beaches in Kvarner, with separate sunbathing areas and a naturist section. Proudly flying the Blue Flag, a symbol of high-quality water, it offers easy access to the sea and is ideal for families with children. The beach is also wheelchair accessible thanks to a lift and a ramp.

The campsite has a water complex with 390 m2 pool for adults and a 110 m2 children’s pool with slide, as well as a large sunbathing area. Nearby you will also find a gym with Finnish and infrared saunas. The Pool bar is a great place to escape the heat and watch the children having fun in the nearby playroom.

Modern beach amenities include sports and therapeutic massage booths, and you can also sign up for physiotherapy or beauty treatments.

Restaurants, bars and shops

Tamaris House has a grocery shop and a beachfront restaurant offering a wide range of local specialities. There is also a pizzeria and pastry shop on the seafront, while the pool area has a bar for refreshments.

There is a gas filling station and an electric vehicle charging station. Other services include transfers to and from Krk and Pula airports (extra charge).

Sports and entertainment

There are plenty of active holiday options at the campsite, from beach volleyball and morning exercise to scuba diving lessons which are also suitable for the hearing impaired. You can hire a boat, kayak, and scuba diving equipment, while small boat owners will be pleased to know that the campsite offers mooring and boat lifting services.

There are many boat, hiking and cycling trips to choose from. You can also visit the Cres labyrinths or learn the basics of wool felting. The great entertainment team has come up with a host of workshops, competitions, games, and tournaments to keep your children happy.

What to do and see on Cres Island?

Guests can make the most of their stay at Kovačine by taking a guided tour or exploring the island’s unique features on their own. Put on your hiking boots and follow the Napoleon Trail to the distinctive marshland of Pišće and the vineyards of Cres, or take a stroll to the beach of St Blaise, considered by many to be one of the most stunning beaches in the region.

The small village of Lubenice exudes the spirit of the past and is surrounded by breath-taking views. Valun, famous for its fishing tradition and pebble beaches, is home to one of the oldest pieces of Croatian cultural heritage, an 11th century stone monument carved in Glagolitic script.

Perched on a steep cliff above a wonderful beach with a zipline passing over it, the stone village of Beli is sure to win you over. As the area is a habitat for griffon vultures, be sure to visit the Beli Visitor and Rescue Centre.
