This campsite is situated on the woody peninsula of Lanterna, between Novigrad and Poreč, along a three-kilometre-long coastal area. It is one of the largest campsites in Istria and offers a diverse range of activities, making it one of the most equipped within the Valamar hospitality group. The resort’s secluded location provides a peaceful holiday in a natural setting, while still being close to popular local attractions and towns on Istria’s lively western coast.

Accommodation options
Lanterna Premium Camping Resort offers eight themed villages with mobile homes, glamping tents for a luxurious camping experience, and 12 types of pitches located in the shade of trees or right by the sea.
The resort also features special children-friendly zones, including the magical Kontići pitch with a small house in the ground, the Family Mega Luxury pitch on 400 m2, and Maro Premium Village mobile homes. There is also a sustainable Punto Blu Premium Village, which features 30 stylishly designed camping chalets and an infinity pool exclusively for village guests. The Happy Dog Premium Village is where guests can enjoy their stay with pets.
Beaches, pools, and a family waterpark
Themed beaches range from rocky to pebble ones and those covered in stone slabs. There is even a sandy beach in Lanterna, which in Istria is quite rare. They are equipped with sun loungers, umbrellas, showers, and changing rooms. Guests can also take advantage of sea hammocks, a floating platform with slides, beach bars and an array of water sports.
Children will enjoy the numerous pools with water attractions, as well as Aquamar Lanterna, a family waterpark with ten pools (one of which with sea water), a pirate ship and water slides.
Restaurants, bars and shops
The campsite offers a variety of themed restaurants, each with its own unique cuisine and ambiance. Guests can enjoy Mediterranean dishes, grilled food, homemade pasta, pizzas, tuna specialties, and street food. In addition, there are several bars located on the beaches and by the swimming pools.
The Piazza area features supermarkets, a green and fish market, bakeries, and shops offering local produce in a lively Mediterranean atmosphere.
Like in other Valamar campsites, guests can order ready meals and fresh local ingredients through the Valfresco Direkt service (for an extra charge) to be delivered directly to their pitch or mobile home.
Sports and entertainment
Our V-Sport Park offers multi-purpose courts for football, basketball, and tennis, as well as a bocce court, a beach volleyball court, and a children’s playground. Children will enjoy the nearby horseback riding centre, adventure mini golf and skate park. A series of Maro holiday entertainment programmes is organised for all ages.
Guests can try various water sports, go on a guided cycling tour, or join one of the Stay Fit group fitness sessions that take place at the campsite.
During the summer, Lanterna Premium Camping Resort hosts the Lanterna Summer Nights Festival featuring open-air cinema, heritage and gastro events, concerts, and entertainment shows.
What to do and see around Lanterna?
The campsite is close to the town of Poreč, a popular tourist destination known for its UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica. Poreč offers a variety of exciting experiences: from restaurants and night bars to outdoor adventures, festivals, and sports events.
North of the campsite lies the fishermen’s town of Novigrad, a true paradise for hedonists and romantic souls, where you can enjoy open-air concerts, the festivity of St Pelagius, and Wine & Walk by the Sea. A walk along the old town walls at dusk is memorable.
The traditional fishermen’s fiesta takes place in the summer in nearby Tar, just a few minutes’ drive from the campsite. Baredine Cave, which has a collection of old-timer tractors, and the Motodrom Poreč race track are not far away. The Sky Fox Adventure Park is a must-visit attraction for kids and teenagers.
