Accommodation options
Mon Perin Campsite offers a wide range of accommodation, from pitches and mobile homes to glamping tents and thoughtfully designed villas with private pools.
There are six types of campsite pitches, spread over a large area, from the beach to the woods, with the furthest being just 100 metres from the sea. Some of the pitches are very large and have all the facilities you could wish for, including your own water hook-up, while others share water, electricity, and barbecue with neighbouring pitches. All are suitable for tents, caravans, or trailers.
The campsite's luxury accommodation options include fully equipped and stylish mobile homes, camping and glamping villas. Some have hot tubs and most sleep up to six. Their beautiful verandas and a host of top-of-the-range amenities make for a glamorous holiday in nature.
Mon Perin has eight sanitary facilities with separate services for children, washing machines, dryers, and dog showers. There are also bathrooms for people with disabilities.
Beaches, pools and a SPA centre
The campsite’s beaches, which alternate between rocky and pebbled, stretch along 9km of coastline dotted with beautiful coves. You will find all the amenities you need for your dream holiday, including a range of water sports, a great dog beach and hidden corners perfect for couples.
Paleo Park, a super fun water complex with three outdoor pools, a hydro-massage pool and a children’s pool with slide, welcomes visitors from mid-May to mid-September. There is also a sun deck, pool bar, restaurant and indoor games room, and guests love the life-size dinosaur replicas and the educational trail, which tells the story of life on earth in an innovative and fascinating way.
The campsite’s wellness and spa centre, Saltwater Oasis, covers 1,400m2 and features a heated indoor pool with massage facilities. It is open all year round, while the outdoor seawater pool (also heated) is open in the warmer months. A salt room, rainforest shower, massages, facials and body treatments, saunas, relaxation area and sun deck are also available.
Restaurants, bars and shops
The campsite has three restaurants: Mol Picio offers freshly caught fish dishes, San Pol serves traditional Istrian dishes, and Porto Bus is the place to go for vegetarians (although meat dishes are also on the menu). The three bars, one of which is on the beach, serve breakfast, fast food, and various drinks.
The campsite also has a minimarket, a bakery, a shop selling beach accessories and a fish, fruit, and vegetable stall.
As a special token of appreciation, guests are given free locally grown fruit and vegetables twice a week from mid-May to mid-September. You can pick up a bag of organic produce at the Fresh Market, next to a farm with local animals.
Sports and entertainment
The sports on offer at the campsite are endless: scuba diving, sailing, stand-up paddle boarding or horse riding, panoramic trail running, mini golf, table tennis, beach volleyball, bocce, tennis, mountain biking, hiking the Mon Grego educational trail and much more.
The entertainment programme includes cinema under the stars, concerts, plays, Paleo Park, Zumba classes, magic shows, and karaoke. Children will love the campsite’s many playgrounds and the inflatable water park in the sea. The evolution trail, archaeological sites and animal farm will make their holiday a fun and educational experience.
And if your four-legged friend is staying with you, they will be more than happy to try out the campsite’s fantastic dog park.
What to do and see in and around Bale?
Given the impressive size of the campsite and what it has to offer, exploring it is an adventure in itself. And its surroundings are equally attractive: The Mon Grego educational trail (with interesting information on the geological history of the earth), olive groves, an oil mill, and several walking and trekking routes.
For those who love historical fortresses, there are panoramic walks to the Austro-Hungarian fortifications: Paravia Untertritt, Fort Forno, San Benedetto, Caluzzi and Paravia Istok-Zapad (east-west).
The charming hilltop village of Bale has a timeless charm. Its alleyways, dominated by the Soardo-Bembo Palace, are lined with cosy and warm konobas serving delicious food to comfort you after a long day on the beach.
The Mon Perin campsite is only 15 kilometres from the fishing village of Fažana, a great base for a boat trip to the Brijuni National Park.
