Omišalj Campsite is located close to the historic town of Omišalj and the bridge that connects the island of Krk to the mainland. Thanks to the island’s mild climate and natural attractions, this five-star campsite welcomes guests on well-equipped pitches or in comfortable mobile homes all year round. It is an ideal base for exploring Krk, a treasure trove of outdoor adventures.

Accommodation options
The campsite pitches meet the highest ADAC standards: they are numbered and equipped with electricity, water, and sewage hook-ups. Mostly located by the sea, they come in three different categories, ranging from 100 m2 to 140 m2.
There is a wide range of mobile homes of up to 35 m2, which can accommodate four to six adults with children. Some are located right by the sea, while others are close to the mini-zoo. Guests staying in Deluxe Pool mobile homes can use the shared pools. There are also mobile homes suitable for the disabled and family-friendly mobile homes that are larger in size. Some can accommodate pets (upon request).
The campsite has two modern sanitary facilities with washrooms. They are accessible to people with disabilities and include baby changing areas, children’s toilets, family toilets, and dog showers.
Beaches and pools
The pebble beach along the Pušća Cove slopes gently down to the sea and is ideal for families. It flies the Blue Flag and has many facilities including beach volleyball, water sports, sun loungers, and a beach bar. There is also a dedicated pet area.
For those who prefer swimming pools, there is a large central pool with pool bar and a smaller pool for children next to the restaurant. Both are surrounded by a spacious sunbathing area with umbrellas and sun loungers.
Restaurants, bars and shops
The flavours of traditional cuisine, local olive oil and wine add to the charm of this seaside location. Maris Restaurant by the pool and Timun Tavern by the sea offer carefully selected dishes, while the staff at the pool bar prepare exquisite cocktails that you can sip without leaving the pool. There is also a barbecue area, where guests can prepare and enjoy their own food in a covered area with a wooden table and benches.
Other campsite amenities include a grocery store, and an info desk where you can book an excursion or charge your electric vehicle. A three-kilometre drive away is a shop selling camping and boating equipment, with special discounts for campsite’s guests.
Sports and entertainment
Omišalj Campsite offers interesting recreational activities such as padel, mini golf, golf, beach volleyball, and multi-purpose sports courts. The Sea Rabbit Centre offers diving lessons, stand-up paddling, kayaking, and pedal boats. Boats and jet skis can be rented at the boating centre.
For those looking to relax and connect with nature, there are morning yoga and pilates classes on the beach. Children will love the playgrounds and mini-zoo with lots of animals. There is also a fenced area for your dog to get some paws on.
The entertainment team will keep you occupied with a wide range of exercise sessions, workshops, competitions, and music evenings.
What to do and see around Omišalj?
A walk through Omišalj reveals the narrow streets of the old town and the remains of the ancient Roman town of Fulfinum, an excellent place to take photos during the golden hour before sunset. About two kilometres from the campsite is an immortelle field with a distillery that produces eco-friendly cosmetics from medicinal herbs.
Lovers of natural wonders will be thrilled by the Biserujka Cave and Jezero, a bird reserve near Njivice. If you’re lucky, you might see beautiful cranes there.
The healing mud and shallow waters of the Meline beach are perfect for the little ones. It is situated in Klimno Bay, on the eastern side of the of island, where you will also find the unique town of Vrbnik, perched on the edge of a cliff.
The town of Krk is the island’s capital. It is famous for its summer festivals, of which the Lovrečeva Medieval Fair stands out. Held in August, it turns Krk into one big stage, so get ready to join swordsmen, craftsmen, and merchants on a memorable journey back in time.
