Located on the western coast of Istria, Orsera Camping Resort is the perfect place for those looking for a relaxing holiday with all the perks of urban life within easy reach. A beautiful pebble beach stretches along the entire length of the campsite, and it takes just a 10-minute walk to reach downtown Vrsar. Besides the intimate feel, Orsera’s main advantage is having all amenities you could possible think of close by. Once you have parked your car, you can forget about it until the end of your holiday.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • terraced pitches and mobile homes with views of the sea and 18 islets
  • camping close to the town of Vrsar, accessible via a 500-metre-long promenade
  • Wow Wow Pet Friendly holiday for guests with dogs in dedicated campsite zones

Accommodation options

The pitches at the Orsera Camping Resort are divided into five categories. Some are directly by the sea, others are immersed in the Mediterranean greenery. They range in size from 40 m2 to 85 m2, except for the Comfort XL pitches, which are designed for large motorhomes and cover an area of between 120 m2 and 140 m2. Most of them have electricity and water hook-ups, and some have sewer connections as well. The Standard pitches have electricity hook-ups only.

With a total area of 30 m2, the mobile homes can accommodate up to six people. They have two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, two bathrooms with shower, TV SAT, air-conditioning, and a covered wooden terrace with a beautiful panoramic view.

The campsite has five sanitary blocks, including children’s bathrooms, units for people with disabilities, showers for pets, and a car wash in block 3.

Beach

The 900-metre-long beach of the Orsera Camping Resort is mainly composed of stone plateaus and pebbles. Adorned with the translucent sea, deep shade of pine trees, and a view of 18 islets of the Vrsar archipelago, it just calls for meditation! Among the facilities offered are the rental of sun loungers and umbrellas, a diving centre, boat rental and numerous water sports. A section of the beach is reserved for dogs, with designated showers.

Restaurants, bars and shops

The main gourmet attraction at Camping Orsera is the à la carte restaurant Vala, which serves seafood, traditional Istrian specialities, and local wines. The beach bar within the restaurant offers a range of drinks and cocktails, and occasionally hosts live evening performances. The two terraces offer stunning views and a front-row seat to watch the magical sunsets.

Other amenities include a supermarket, fruit and vegetable stand, beach gear stand and newsstand. If you prefer ordering out while on holiday, with the Valfresco Direkt online service you will get your food and groceries delivered straight to your pitch or mobile home.

The nearby town of Vrsar offers a wide range of gourmet delights for those wishing to indulge their taste buds.

Sports and entertainment

The campsite’s sports centre offers pedal boat, kayak and boat rental. The diving centre, with scuba diving courses and boat trips, is a big hit with the campsite’s guests. Nearby there are tennis courts, an equestrian centre, and plenty of walking and cycling trails.

The campsite hosts a number of live music events in the high season, and children will enjoy the playground and sandpit on the beach.

What to do and see around Vrsar?

Aesthetes and art lovers will appreciate the creative facet of Vrsar, especially the works of the famous sculptor Dušan Džamonja, whose sculptures adorn a park just outside the town. You are also welcome to visit the summer sculpture school in the Roman quarry of Montraker.

The old town of Vrsar, with its flower-filled stone streets, offers a unique journey into the past. Every summer there are numerous open-air festivals and concerts that promise a great evening out.

With an assortment of local delicacies and mouth-watering dishes, Vrsar’s restaurants and konobas are well worth a visit. For wine lovers, there are guided tastings in impressive wine cellars.

The local Tourist Board is the best place to find out about the most attractive tours, and a walk in the company of the world’s most famous seducer, Giacomo Casanova, certainly falls into this category.
