Camping Park Umag is located nine kilometres south of Umag and is only an hour’s drive from Trieste. It is the largest campsite in NW Istria and offers luxurious facilities for the whole family. Stretching along the almost three-kilometre-long coastal area, it offers everything you might need for a perfect holiday and has an impressive setting, landscaped in line with environmental standards.

Accommodation options
The campsite offers seven types of pitches, ranging from classic to luxury. All pitches come with electricity and Wi-Fi connections, and most have water and sewer hook-ups. The Luxury Mare pitches, located right by the sea, are equipped with a barbecue, an outdoor shower, and a pergola.
Situated close to the sea and surrounded by Mediterranean greenery, mobile homes provide easy access to various on-site activities. They have at least two bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom, and a roofed terrace. The Premium mobile homes offer a luxurious stay by the sea, and some even come with a private pool.
One of the nicest camping areas has 40 glamping tents, each with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a large terrace.
There are ten sanitary facilities with baby changing units and dog showers, as well as two dedicated bathrooms for disabled persons. During peak season, a tourist train connects different campsite areas for an extra charge.
Beaches and attractive swimming pool complexes
Its natural beaches are in the sun or shaded by pine trees, proudly flying the Blue Flag for their cleanliness and top-class features. There is also a designated area for pets. With a combination of natural stone and slabs, Canova is one of the most popular beaches. There you can find a staircase and a ramp for accessing the sea, a children’s playground, sun loungers, and baldachin beds.
Children and teenagers will love the two large swimming pool complexes. One of them has a pirate ship for the youngest children to enjoy. The new pool complex also includes a sundeck, a restaurant, and many waterslides and attractions. It is located near Canova Cove and caters to children of all ages, from babies to teenagers.
Restaurants, bars, and shops
There are several dining options available, including à la carte restaurants, eateries, a pizzeria, and a pastry shop. Chill out and lounge bars are located in various areas of the campsite, mostly by the sea.
Other amenities include a supermarket, a bakery, a fish shop, fruit and vegetable stands, a medical assistance centre, a souvenir shop, a launderette, and a newsstand.
Sports and entertainment
The campsite offers a range of sports and entertainment facilities, including tennis courts, football pitches, basketball and handball courts, beach volleyball, and mini golf. Guests can also rent bikes and jet skis, take scuba diving or tennis lessons, and enjoy the well-kept seaside promenade for cycling, walking, and running. Water sports are available on the beach, and children can have fun at the floating waterpark (for an additional charge).
There are various entertainment options for both children and adults. These include clubs for kids and teenagers, fitness sessions, and evening performances and concerts.
What to do and see around Camping Park Umag?
The X-Forest Adventure Park, located across the campsite, offers a range of entertainment options, including paintball and archery. It is an excellent place to experience an adrenaline rush while enjoying the shade of trees.
Umag, a town known for its ATP tennis tournament and a variety of other sports and music events in the summer, is just a short drive away. Visitors also come to this area for its excellent restaurants, konobas, and renowned winemakers who offer wine tastings.
South of the campsite is the charming fishermen’s town of Novigrad. Its ancient walls and the Lapidarium Museum make it well worth visiting. In the summer, Novigrad comes alive with an array of festivals and concerts.
Another must-visit place close to Novigrad is Istralandia, the most amusing water attraction in Istria. Many families come here to have fun on water slides and other attractions.
