Accommodation options
Porto Sole Campsite offers five different types of pitches, depending on their location, size (50 m2 – 100 m2), furnishings and fittings. They all have electricity hook-up, and some have water and sewage connections as well. Guests staying on pitches can reserve a private wellness bathroom with sauna and hot tub, in a thoughtfully designed sanitary facility with private bathrooms and wellness amenities overlooking the sea.
The campsite’s modern mobile homes have two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a terrace. All are close to the beach, and some have a 30 m2 covered terrace, which makes a gorgeous outdoor living room in the summer.
The sanitary facility includes everything campers could possibly need in terms of hygiene and there is a section for people with disabilities. The campsite is dog-friendly and pets are accepted in all accommodation units (for extra charge). There are also additional amenities, such as dog beaches and showers.
Beaches and pools
The campsite’s kilometre-long beach has sections with pebbles, stone plateaus, and natural rocks. It proudly flies the Blue Flag, awarded for water quality and beach maintenance. Guests can hire sun loungers and umbrellas, and there are showers, sundecks, and natural shade. The central bay is well sheltered from the wind, making it attractive to swimmers even on cooler days.
Porto Sole has two freshwater swimming pools, one for adults and a smaller one (about 100 m2) for children, with sun loungers and umbrellas available for rent on the lovely sundeck.
Restaurants, bars and shops
Whether you prefer Mediterranean specialities, fast food, or Asian cuisine, you will be pleased to know that there are several great restaurants and bars at the campsite: Basilico Pizza Pasta, Star Anise Asian, Fresh Corner, Caffeteria and Pool Bar. Nothing beats a good meal and a glass of Malvasia on the terrace after a day’s fun on the beach. And although most of these facilities are only open during the high season, Fresh Corner is here for you all year round.
If you like to cook, the campsite’s supermarket, bakery, and fruit and vegetable stand have everything you need. There is also a kiosk with newspapers, crossword puzzles and light read books.
Sports and entertainment
For sports enthusiasts, the campsite offers open-air gym, multi-purpose sports courts, a range of water sports, and scuba diving courses at the certified diving centre. Kids will love the inflatable water park and playgrounds, while teenagers can try their hand at snooker, darts, table football, table tennis and videogames.
The campsite is also a great base for exploring the nearby town of Vrsar by bike or on foot.
What to do and see around Vrsar?
The lively town of Vrsar is packed with events throughout the summer, so be sure to check the calendar for some of the festivals and concerts or walk in the footsteps of famous seducer Casanova.
With its elevated position overlooking picturesque islets and breath-taking sunsets, the old town is the perfect backdrop for stunning holiday photos. After a walk through the narrow streets that exude Mediterranean charm, hop on the tourist train that runs between Vrsar and the campsite (extra charge) and you will be back „home“ in no time.
After a day of sightseeing, nothing is better than a good meal. Some of the specialities worth trying in Vrsar’s restaurants and konobas include freshly prepared fish and seafood, truffles, and asparagus, all of which go perfectly with the superb local wines.
If you are wondering about the most beautiful natural sights in the area, we recommend a visit to the Brijuni National Park or the enchanting Lim Bay, where you can taste excellent shellfish.
