Accommodation options
The campsite’s pitches are mostly situated along the sandy beach, on flat terrain shaded by poplar and pine trees. All pitches come with electricity and water hook-ups, and some also include drainage. Their size ranges from 70 m2 to 90 m2. There are also unmarked camping spots for tents, equipped with electricity hook-ups.
Mediterranean-style camping homes are set in the quieter part of the campsite and can accommodate up to 8 people. They have one, two, or three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, two bathrooms, a covered terrace, and a private parking space. For a luxurious getaway, the Lopar Garden Village offers camping homes close to the beach.
The rooms and apartments of the San Marino Residence provide a hotel-like atmosphere. In addition to elegant interiors, they come with the option of half-board service in a nearby restaurant. They are suitable for 2 to 4 guests.
Modern sanitary facilities are conveniently located near the pitches. In addition to standard amenities, they include toilets suitable for children and the disabled, baby-changing areas, and an outdoor dog bathing area.
Beaches and SPA
Paradise Beach, stretching 1,500 meters alongside the campsite, truly deserves its name. Often ranked among the most beautiful beaches in the Adriatic, its shallow waters and soft sand make it ideal for non-swimmers, children, and the disabled. For an additional fee, guests can enjoy sun loungers, umbrellas, and a variety of sports, while showers and changing cabins are free of charge. About a kilometre away, there is a secluded naturist beach.
Within the campsite, a modern wellness & beauty centre awaits, featuring saunas, hot tubs, relaxation areas, and massage rooms. Beauty treatments are available in a separate area and the centre also includes a fully equipped gym.
Restaurants, bars and shops
The San Marino à la carte restaurant offers a half-board service to guests staying at the San Marino Residence. The menu features a daily selection of pizzas, pasta, grilled fish and meat dishes. Along the beach, four other restaurants - Tri Jablana, Mel, Lukovac, and Gaucho - serve grilled dishes, pizzas, and desserts. Guests can also enjoy the Pharos restaurant, cocktail & lounge bar, which boasts a relaxing terrace and a stage for entertainment. Three other bars are strategically placed throughout the campsite.
For your convenience, the campsite has a well-stocked supermarket, bakery, fruit shop, and wine store.
Sports and entertainment
San Marino Camping Resort is the perfect destination where every family member can indulge in their favourite activities. With a carefully designed children’s entertainment programme, parents can enjoy time to themselves, whether it’s working out, playing beach volleyball, five-a-side football, basketball, handball, boccia, mini golf, or tennis. The campsite’s shallow sandy beach is also the perfect place for children to learn to swim.
There is also a children’s amusement park with trampolines, merry-go-rounds and a 5D cinema. In the evenings, entertainers host games and performances in the amphitheatre, so you and your children can enjoy magical nights under the stars.
If you’re interested in diving, courses are available nearby, or you can explore the marked cycling trails on the Lopar Peninsula.
Your four-legged friends are welcome too! The campsite has designated zones with the Wow Wow Pet Friendly service, ensuring plenty of amenities for your furry companions.
What to do and see on Rab Island?
Begin your sightseeing adventure in the historic town of Rab, where the architectural heritage is enclosed by ancient walls topped by four iconic bell towers. Its narrow streets, monasteries, and churches are intertwined with charming konobas and bordered by delightful beaches such as Banova vila.
If you visit Rab in late July, don’t miss Rapska Fjera, the largest medieval festival in Croatia. This event brings history to life with demonstrations of traditional crafts, parades of nobility and knights, authentic food and music.
For those with a sweet tooth, a visit to the Rab Cake House is a must. Taste the delectable blend of almonds and maraschino, a recipe once reserved for the nobility.
You can burn off those indulgent calories with a stroll through the Komrčar park forest or along the Premužić Trail, which meanders through the Kalifront Peninsula. Along the way, you’ll be serenaded by the songs of cuckoos, turtle doves, nightingales, and swallows.
For additional adventures, the Valamar Experience Concierge is at your service, ready to help you plan excursions and unforgettable experiences around the campsite.
