Camping Stella Maris is a campsite located just 1.5 km from Umag, 15 km from the Slovenian border, and 50 km from Trieste. It lies within the resort of the same name, and offers a variety of great events nearby, including Croatia’s most famous ATP tour held in Umag every July. In addition, visitors can enjoy beaches, clubs, restaurants, shops, concerts, and numerous sports facilities, making it the perfect holiday destination.

Accommodation options
Close to Umag’s most popular pebble beach, there are nearly 500 well-maintained pitches with electricity, water, Wi-Fi, and SAT-TV hook-ups. The luxurious pitches offer sewer hook-ups as well. They are set in a beautiful forest with plenty of natural shade. Ranging from 70 m2 to 145 m2, they provide cosiness and comfort.
The mobile homes Superior and Premium are exquisite and can accommodate up to six people. They have a floor area of up to 34 m2 and feature two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, and a spacious roofed terrace with sun loungers. Some also come with a hammock.
The campsite has five modern sanitary facilities, including baby changing areas, washing machines, dryers, and an ironing corner. Two of the facilities are adapted for persons with disabilities, and one has dog showers.
Beaches and pools
The campsite is situated less than 200m away from the beach. The coastline provides numerous opportunities, including the nearby Laguna pebble beach and Pinia sandy beach. Pinia is particularly popular with children and has a designated dog beach. Both beaches offer amenities such as showers, changing rooms, sun loungers, umbrellas, and water sports (for an additional fee).
The campsite has three freshwater pools, covering an area of over 800 m2, for adults, children, and babies. It also has a large sun deck and a restaurant, making it an ideal place to spend a day in a relaxed and playful atmosphere.
Restaurants, bars and shops
Guests can enjoy meals and drinks at the campsite's à la carte restaurant and lounge bar. The neighbouring resort also offers several restaurants and bars by the beach offering a variety of food options, including Mediterranean dishes, street food, pizzas, and popular beverages.
Additionally, there is a bakery and a fruit and vegetable stand on-site. A supermarket, newsstand, and souvenir shop are also conveniently located nearby.
Sports and entertainment
Umag is renowned for its sports facilities, which is reflected in the wide range of activities available at the Stella Maris resort and campsite. The resort boasts 16 tennis courts, a tennis school, handball and beach volleyball courts, and stunning beaches with a variety of water sports. With so much to do, it’s impossible to get bored here! In addition, experienced coaches run organised workout programmes, and the nearby waterfront promenade is ideal for walking, jogging or cycling.
Children aged 4 to 12 can play, dance, and watch various shows at their own mini club. There is also a great entertainment programme for adults. Just off the campsite, you will find the adventure park Jangalooz and the highly praised scuba diving centre.

Umag’s emerald hinterland lures guests to picturesque arts town Grožnjan, mysterious Oprtalj, and Istria’s picture-perfect gem, Motovun. A breathtaking cycling and walking trail called Parenzana runs in the vicinity. It was once a railway and is now a magnet for lovers of active holidays.
