Accommodation options

On the peninsula and along the quiet cove there are pitches and camping sites from 60 m2 to 130 m2. They all have electricity and water hook-ups and offer a nice view of Vrsar and the neighbouring islets. Within the sanitary facilities you can rent a family bathroom, and parents will be more than happy to know that there are units accessible to children.

Different types of mobile homes with two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a covered terrace have everything you need for a carefree holiday. Some have special features such as hot tubs, outdoor kitchenettes with barbecues, and a communal swimming pool. There are ten different types of mobile homes, from 21 m2 for couples to family homes for six adults and two children.

Beaches and pools

The campsite’s unspoiled beach, shaded by pine trees, is undoubtedly its most popular spot, with sections of pebbles, rocks, sand, and concrete. Most guests prefer the central pebble cove with easy access to the sea and plenty of facilities, including sun loungers, umbrellas and showers, as well as some entrances accessible to people with disabilities. The beach proudly flies the Blue Flag, awarded for the quality of beach management. Dog owners will be pleased to know that there are three pet-friendly beaches and ten dog showers.

The campsite also has three outdoor freshwater pools with over 1,500 m2 of the water surface, sundecks for all ages and a good range of entertainment, food, and drink.

Restaurants, bars and shops

With nine bars and restaurants, guests at Valkanela campsite can try a new meal or drink every day. Mediterranean dishes, grilled fish and meat, pasta, pizza, burgers or piadine – the choice is endless. You can sip refreshing cocktails or chilled drinks and enjoy the sea views from the bar terraces: for example, beer lovers can visit the Maistralon Beer Garden, while youngsters can enjoy freshly squeezed juices and ice creams.

There is also a supermarket, newsstand, fruit and vegetable stand, bakery, and barbecue area.

Sports and entertainment

The campsite’s many sports facilities include clay tennis courts, beach volleyball, table tennis and a mini golf course. Guests can also rent boats, beach canoes, and pedal boats as well as enjoying a wide range of water sports. Children will love the floating water park, trampoline, and outdoor playgrounds.

Cycling enthusiasts can rent a bike to explore the surrounding area. The Fun & Sports team organises entertainment for children and adults alike, and the little ones will enjoy the mini-club activities on a meadow near the pool.

What to do and see around Vrsar?

Vrsar is one of the most charming towns on the west coast of Istria. The fact that it is relatively small is just one of the reasons why people feel so at home here. The old town has an impressive castle, small churches, and lovely squares with many small shops and interesting bars. The famous seducer Casanova spent some time here, so it is a good idea to take a guided tour and learn more about his love adventures.

The Džamonja Sculpture Park is also worth a visit, with 26 sculptures in a natural setting by the sea. Throughout the summer, the town hosts numerous festivals and events - an excellent opportunity to get to know the local people, traditions, and food.

Be sure to visit Lim Bay, a stunning green oasis with interesting caves and breath-taking views, which can be reached on foot, by bike or by boat. There you can also sample local shellfish.
