Vrata Velebita campsite is located at the heart of Velebit Nature Park, the largest protected area in Croatia, between Northern Velebit and Paklenica National Parks. Surrounded in lush deciduous forest and surrounded by karst peaks, it offers guests a unique experience of camping filled with the fragrances, sounds and experiences of the wilderness, and the tradition and heritage of Velebit.
Accommodation is available on numbered and unnumbered pitches, as well as in a traditional ethno house. Comfortable sanitary facilities, a small kitchen, and a shared space for barbecuing and socialising will make your stay even more enjoyable.
Although it is just 5 minutes from the coast and the town of Tribanj, the campsite has the characteristics of a continental campsite. There is an old stone house featuring an exhibition of traditional tools and beekeeping, which the locals are actively involved in. Guests can taste homemade brandy, liqueurs, honey, cheese and other traditional specialities from Lika in the tasting room and konoba. Make sure not to miss a trip to see mirila, unique stone monuments typical of the region, as well as numerous other nearby natural attractions of exceptional beauty.
