Bluesun Paklenica is located in Starigrad Paklenica, just a few minutes’ drive from the Paklenica National Park and 10 kilometres from the Zagreb-Split motorway exit. It stretches along a pebble beach in the pleasant shade of pine trees. Its attractive location offers a variety of activities, such as hiking and climbing in the Paklenica National Park, quad biking on Velebit or sightseeing in Zadar, which is only 45 kilometres away.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • proximity to the Paklenica National Park
  • unique location on the beach, with views of the magnificent Velebit mountain
  • wide range of day trips and outdoor activities

Accommodation options

The camping grounds are suitable for tents and pitches for campervans and caravans. They range in size from 35 to 100 m2. The pitches have electricity and water hook-ups, while the camping grounds have electricity hook-ups only. They can accommodate up to eight people.

There are also four types of mobile homes, the largest of which are 31 m2 in size and can accommodate up to six people. Depending on the type you choose, you will find from one to three rooms with a bathroom, a fully-fitted kitchen and a covered terrace. Particularly attractive are the Dalmacija Plus mobile homes, located only 10 metres from the beach.

Pets are welcome on all pitches and camping grounds at an extra charge.

Two fully-equipped sanitary facilities, with washing machines and tumble dryers, children’s bathrooms, and dog showers, are also accessible to people with disabilities.

Beaches and pools

The campsite’s beach has natural pebbles and a gentle slope to the sea, making it ideal for families with young children. It is partly shaded by pine trees. The nearby beach of Kulina, named after the impressive medieval tower, that rises above the sea, is also very popular.

There are also free swimming pools for adults and children in the nearby hotel complex, just 50 metres away.

Restaurants, bars and shops

The campsite has a Dalmatian konoba, Batela, which serves local dishes, especially mussels, local vegetables and cheeses, and meat from the Velebit pastures.

There is a supermarket and a fish market near the campsite.

Sports and entertainment

Guests can play beach volleyball and table tennis, while the entertainment team organises sports tournaments, dancing lessons, mini-club activities, themed parties, and evening events at the campsite.

It is worth mentioning that the surrounding area offers plenty of opportunities for active holidays such as diving, swimming, free climbing, hiking, trekking, trail, and rafting.

What to do and see in and around Starigrad Paklenica?

Cycling, hiking and climbing trails in the Paklenica National Park attract outdoor enthusiasts, introducing them to a world of caves, gorges, rare plants and animals.

The emerald green Zrmanja River is perfect for rafting or boating, while the Velebit glades are ideal for exploring on quad bikes. Another nice idea is the Starigrad educational trail, where stone monuments known as mirila tell the story of exciting events of the past.

The town of Starigrad Paklenica is only a few minutes’ walk away, with an interesting museum dedicated to the fictional Indian hero Winnetou, and Večka kula, a medieval fortress built to defend against the Ottoman Empire. Its location right on the coast is impressive, as is the legend of King Pasoglav.

If you don’t mind travelling further afield, the Plitvice Lakes (which need no introduction) and the Krka Waterfalls are well worth a visit.
