What to do and see on the island of Pag?
The campsite is well connected to the rest of the island Pag, and the island itself is connected by a bridge to the mainland and the hinterland of Zadar. We suggest that you start your exploration in the town of Pag, which offers fascinating attractions. One of them is the Pag Lace Museum. There you can learn more about the lace-making tradition, which is included on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. On Pag, salt means life, and you can find out how it is produced at Solana Pag, which occasionally organises salt harvesting workshops for guests.
From the campsite it is only a seven-minute drive to Kolan, where you can visit the cheese factory and taste and buy one of Croatia’s most prized cheeses. Pag cheese is protected and is widely known for its characteristic texture and flavour.
In the far north of Pag is the Lun botanical reserve with olive groves that are among the oldest in the world. You can walk along a two-kilometre-long path and marvel at the trees that have been there for over 1000 years!
