Accommodation options
The campsite pitches are located directly by the sea or in the shade of the trees. They range in size from 80 m2 to 110 m2 and most have sea views. The Comfort XL pitches are much larger, between 210 m2 and 270 m2, and can easily accommodate a motorhome. Most pitches have water and electricity hook-ups, and some also have sewage connections. There is a random pitch area for tents.
The mobile homes come in three different styles, including the ECO Homes, which have a spacious 26 m2 terrace and meet the highest standards of sustainable construction. Most can accommodate up to six people, some up to four. All are equally comfortable.
Accommodation options include Mediterranean-style rooms and apartments for two to four people (depending on the type). They are the perfect choice if you are travelling with friends who are not keen on camping.
There are 11 sanitary facilities with all the necessary amenities, including bathrooms adapted for children and persons with disabilities, and dog showers.
Beaches and pools
The campsite has a meandering, 2.5-kilometre-long rocky coastline with many beaches that naturists will love. They range from pebble and rocky to grassy and stone. Dogs are not allowed on the Sidro and Galeb beaches, but there is a dog beach in the western part of the resort. All beaches are equipped with showers, sun loungers and umbrellas (for additional charge), while some have bars, lifeguard service, and a water sports centre.
There is also a 250 m2 freshwater pool for naturists, with free sun loungers and umbrellas. An à la carte restaurant and a bar are nearby.
Restaurants, bars and shops
Close to the reception area of the Camping Solaris is Solaris, a self-service restaurant with a wide choice of dishes and theme evenings. There are also four restaurants, the most popular of which is the Sidro restaurant and bar by the pool, with a varied offer to suit all tastes: from pizza and barbecue to Mediterranean and international specialities.
There are also two supermarkets, a fruit and vegetable market, bakery, fishmonger, newsstand, as well as manicure, pedicure, massage and hairdressing services. If you want to enjoy a nice meal with your family or friends and do not feel like cooking, you can order online through Valfresco Direkt and have everything delivered to your pitch, mobile home, or apartment.
Sports and entertainment
For those who like to keep active during their holiday, there is a wide range of water sports on offer, as well as eight clay tennis courts, a multi-purpose court, beach volleyball, table tennis, and a mini golf course. Bikes are also available for hire, while the nearby equestrian centre offers horse riding lessons and romantic carriage rides.
Guests can join the free Stay Fit group fitness sessions and enjoy a wide range of activities, from stretching to aqua aerobics.
The Valamar team also organises creative workshops and music and dance activities for children and adults. Dog owners will be pleased to know about the Wow Wow Pet Friendly programme, and the Wowsome park, where their four-legged friends can play happily.
What to do and see around Lanterna?
The green Lanterna peninsula is best explored by bike or on foot. In the summer there are plenty of activities and food stalls at every corner.
The nearest village is Tar, famous for its olive-growing tradition. It is a good place to experience a guided tasting of olive oils produced by local farmers, as suggested by world-class guides.
The nearby town of Poreč boasts an impressive architectural heritage from ancient Roman times, the UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica, and lots of interesting events. Many konobas and restaurants offer local specialities as well as famous dishes from cuisines around the world and street food classics.
If you are staying here with your children, get their adrenaline pumping at the Motodrom Poreč racetrack, visit the Papago Park bird park or the Baredine cave, home to a very strange creature – the olm. For those not keen on planning, the Valamar Experience Concierge is here to tailor the best possible destination experience.
