With so much to explore in Croatia - thousand of islands, 6.000 km of coastline, the ancient Roman civilisation remains, venetian towns and the stunning nature - what can be better than to explore Croatia by campervan!
You can find information about driving in Croatia, border crossing, major distances, what to do in case of breakdown or accident and other useful information on our Croatia by car page and you can plan your route using our Route planner and map with camps GPS coordinates.
There is an important point to note though: In Croatia it is prohibited by law to camp outside campsites and the fines are high.
Our advice for you is to camp only within designated campsites which are equipped with the necessary facilities and services for campers and camping holiday makers. Designated campsites have pitches easily accessible by camper vans and motorhomes and in most cases they offer a complete camping service, or as a minimum they have a chemical toilette.

Croatia by Campervan - Suggested Travel Routes
To help you explore Croatia by camper, we have prepared for you seven suggested campervan routes, each in duration between 4 and 8 days. The routes cover the whole of Croatian coast as well as part of Inland Croatia and each route lists nearby campsites.
You can join up two or more routes into one camping holiday or you may decide to stay in places we suggested for longer or even to skip some of suggested itinerary - it is up to you. But we do hope that the suggested routes reveal the parts of Croatia you might not known of or not thought of visiting or give you some new ideas on what to do in a place you might have visited with your motorhome many times in the past.
